The Ferrari was born in the year 1947 and since then it has been building classic cars for the buyers who can't get enough of them. There are several prototypes of the Ferrari and it is well linked with the motorsport activities.
The first brain wave of an idea was born in the year 1898 when Enzo Ferrari first drove for the then racing team of Alpha Romeo. This was the birth of the idea that he wanted his very own car manufacturing unit which he did make come true by founding his own company in the year 1939 at Modena. However, the very first of Ferrari was only launched in the year 1946. This was a 125 S and was put to the race track in the month of May 1947.
The car company for Ferrari is now in Maranello in Italy. Throughout the entire lifespan and history of the car manufacturer called Ferrari you will notice that it has been in the forefront for car racing especially the Formula One. This has led to a great deal of goodwill and recognition being generated for the car and the kind of prowess that it can display. The Ferrari has been participating in a range of motor sports and has always come out a winner in most of the competing fields. The first car to have raced was the 1940AAC 815 that was designed by Enzo Ferrari. This is not one of the badge cars of the Ferrari brand though.
The first road vehicle made by Ferrari was in the year 1949 and that was the 125 S and later on the Ferrari 166 Inter. This was the first time that the company made a move into the grand touring market. This is the place where most of the bulk sales for Ferrari cars emerge out of. The early cars that were manufactured by Ferrari had their bodywork customized by coachbuilders. These were Zagato, Bertone and Pinainfarina.
The first mid engine Ferrari to be made was the Dino. The layout of the car continued until the 1980s and 1990s. The Marques major production is in the realm of the V8 v models. The Ferrari has produced many first of its kind cars which includes the 208 GTB, the GT4 and the Mondial. The mid-engine range of 12 cylinder cars was the Berlinetta Boxer that was introduced by Ferrari in the year 1973. The aim of Ferrari has always been to manufacture cars that are upscale and the best around. One such is the Ferrari Mythos, the 1962 born 250 GTO and the most recent models introduced of Enzo Ferrari and the FXX models.
The latest of the high end model is the Ferrari Millechilli that was launched in the year 2010. Ferrari has been long since towing with the idea of manufacturing cars that run on different kinds fo bio-fuel and hybrid cars. There have been a few of them unveiled in this variety.
